Modularity in applications
The Sporttraxx solution is fully expandable. Through a special wiring set, each additional hardware option such as Satellite coverage extension, Voice option, Yellow flag flasher/buzzer, Timing sensors becomes a plug-in, that is easily connected to the Electronic Interface in the vehicle. According to each event, its budget, its location, the regulations, the plug-ins can be added or removed. And the service can go from simple passive tracking to full live tracking/timing/results.
Electronic Interface
The Sporttraxx Hardware is a modular solution. Several devices and accessories can be connected for actual and future applications. The Electronic Interface is the connection center. The main power supply from the vehicle is protected and filtered, to avoid interferences from and to the vehicle but most of all to ensure reliability to the whole system.

Passive Tracking (GPS Logger)The smallest and lightest GPS tracking unit to be used on a car or carried by a biker on his clothes. Battery operated for up to 32 hours of continuos logging. Positions, times, tracks, stops and even timestampings are saved in the 200.000 trackpoint memory. Fastest download via USB or multiple wireless (up to 7 devices). Incredibly reliable and accurate. For any Motorsport event where fairplay, respect of rules and timing backup is required. |

Basic Live GPRS or SAT TrackingFirst step for live tracking, either GPRS terrestrial or Inmarsat satellite Tracking. Tracking units are easily fixed on roofs, bonnets or dashboards and power is supplied directly from battery or through cigarette lighter socket. The simpliest way to track a vehicle. Maximum flexibility in less than a minute installation time. Tipycal application is a 0 CAR, FIVs, ambulances, helicopters or any service vehicle. Where it is not possible to have a professional wiring set installed onboard. Historical cars for example. GPRS version for use wherever a GSM coverage is available. SAT for worldwide use. Live GPRS Tracking for bikes and quadsThe GPRS Traxxer is actually the most compact and tough tracking unit for motorport. The internal battery provides up to 5 hours of emergency power supply and that makes it very interesting when used on smaller enduro bikes. The SOS remote control is worn by the rider as a necklage and is the safest solution in case of accident. Even if laying several meters form the bike with its Traxxer fitted on the mudguard, the remote SOS emitter can reach it. GPRS version for use wherever a GSM coverage is available. It features the new Sporttraxx CommBox with GMW/ADA car-to-car communication and SOS/OK/YellowFlag/Recall. All the FIA safety requirements are fulfilled. Position Update rate with GPRS up to 1 second, typical 5 seconds. With Inmarsat Tracking typical update frequency is 2 to 4 minutes. Emergency alarms are forwarded real time with both solutions. Next coming options
LCD Touchscreen

A small LCD device with touchscreen commands will increase the 2 way comunication options/needs between HQ and the vehicle using Short Text Message technology. Times will be transmitted directly to car from results server and a library of standard and most common texts will speed up the communication. Available beginning of 2010
